2011 Model Year Alpina B7 Announced for North America

2011 Model Year Alpina B7 Announced for North AmericaBMW has announced that the Alpina B7 will be offered in North America as a 2011 model year. Previously, the E65 based B7 was only available in North America as a limited edition in 2007 and 2008.

The specialty F01 based BMW 7-Series already made its debut in Geneva last year, and then as a long-wheelbase F02 variant in Tokyo just a few months ago.

To refresh your memory the B7 comes with BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter direct injection V8 engine which has been massaged by Alpina from 400hp up to 500hp (373kW) and 516 lb-ft (700Nm) of torque. 0-60 mph arrives in 4.5 seconds.
